Sejarah

PT Krakatau Tirta Industri yang didirikan pada tanggal 28 Februari 1996, merupakan anak perusahaan yang sahamnya 99,99% dimiliki oleh PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) dan 0,01% dimiliki oleh PT Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon (PT KIEC).

Perusahaan ini sebelumnya merupakan unit penunjang kegiatan operasional PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) dalam bidang penyediaan air bersih yang mulai beroperasi sejak 1978.
Sebagian besar air bersih yang dihasilkan digunakan untuk kebutuhan industri dan sebagian lain untuk kebutuhan masyarakat kota Cilegon. Air baku yang diolah diambil dari sungai Cidanau yang bersumber dari danau alam "Rawa Dano". Air kemudian dialirkan menggunakan pipa diameter 1,4m sepanjang ±28km untuk diolah menjadi air bersih di unit Pengolahan Air, yang terdiri dari beberapa tahapan proses yaitu Koagulasi, Flokulasi, Sedimentasi, Filtrasi, yang diikuti dengan Netralisasi dan Disinfektansi.
Kapasistas yang terpasang di unit pengolahan air saat ini adalah sebesar 2.000 litet/detik, dan baru digunakan 60% utilisasinya.

PT Krakatau Tirta Industry which was established on February 28, 1996, is a subsidiary whose shares are 99.99% owned by PT. Raw water taken from rivers Cidanau which is a channel release from natural swamp “Rawa Dano” with debit m3/second airbaku between 1.2 to 28.1, the raw water is pumped through a pipe diameter of 1.4 m along the ± 28 km to be processed into water Clean Water treatment unit, which consists of stages and keeping the process include flocculation sedimentation, filtration, followed by Neutralization and Disinfection. Water treatment unit installed capacity amounted to 2000 lt/sec, with a current capacity utiliasasi 56%. In the first quarter PT.KTI would increase reserves by extending the raw water reservoir with a capacity of 25 million M3, before the year 2015 and increase the capacity of water distribution to 3000 lt / sec.

Waduk Krenceng (PUMP STATION II)

Berfungsi sebagai cadangan air baku, luas waduk + 1 Km2, Kapasitas penyimpanan efektif 3,0 juta m3, dengan fasilitas 5 buah pompa Centrifugal vertikal dengan kapasitas pompa masing-masing 1,850 m3/jam.

Rumah Pompa III (PUMP STATION III )

Dengan fasilitas 5 buah pompa jenis centrifugal horisontal, memliki fasilitas 3 buah pompa digunakan untuk megalirkan air ke tower dengan kapasitas debit air 900 m3/jam dan daya 200 KW, sedangkan untuk 2 pompa digunakan untuk mengalirkan air ke PS V SEPS dengan kapasitas debit air 810 m3/jam dan daya 34,6 KW.

LABORATORIUM – Laboratory.

Untuk menjaga kualitas air besih agar memenuhi standar air bersih sesuai Peraturan Mentri Kesehatan RI No.416/MENKES/PER/IX/1990, PT.Krakatau Tirta Industri dilengkapi dengan laboratorium yang berfungsi antara lain untuk ;
Memonitor kualitas air baku dan air bersih.
Melakukan uji coba/riset terhadap bahan-bahan kimia pembantu.
